The Only Chocolate Chip Cookie Recipe You’ll Ever Need
August 25, 2017
When I was a kid, my mom always used the cookie recipe on the back of the Toll House chocolate chips bag. Every. Single. Time. After my discovery of Pinterest, I was constantly trying out new recipes for everything—including chocolate chip cookies. Until I found this one.
Since the day I first made that recipe, I have never, ever looked back. It’s the only one I use. Why?
BECAUSE IT NEVER FAILS. It ALWAYS makes the cookies perfect every single time! There’s no variation–it’s fail-proof! I can still see my mom trying to figure out why her cookies spread into a flat, crunchy mess–but these cookies never do that. And I know: I’ve spent 6 years making them.
For 6 years, friends who have tasted the cookies ask for the recipe. I’ve sent it via text message countless times, but I wanted to give my variation of the original, because there is one extra step that I add. (Also, I almost always double or triple the recipe. You’ll understand why after you make them. One batch is never enough.)
Here’s the recipe: (****Pssst: It’s a PDF Printable)
